Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- No criminal convictions; felonies or gross misdemeanors that would preclude you from obtaining a WA State Security Officer license.
- Prior military, civilian, or security officer experience strongly preferred.
Required Skills, Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations:
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.
- Must speak, read, write, and understand the English language, apply written rules, detailed orders, instructions and training material.
- Excellent customer service via phone and face to face conversation, excellent written and spoken command of the English language.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Detect, deter, and report crime, fire, unusual events, and emergencies.
- Required to follow all company personnel and safety policies and perform all assigned duties in a safe manner.
- Will arrive at work at the designated time in proper uniform with any necessary equipment.
- Will carry out general and special orders for assigned post.
- Will communicate via radio, telephone and in-person, according to orders.

- Must be comfortable turning away trespassers, loiterers, and transients (who might be under the influence of drugs or alcohol) on the client's property from a safe distance away.

Oatridge Security Group is looking for an Unarmed Security Officer to join its rapidly growing team. An ideal candidate will have a vehicle and must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license. The Unarmed Security Officer will be responsible for conducting patrols around the Seattle Metropolitan area, working as a part of the MID Seattle Downtown Ambassadors program. The goal of the program is to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for everyone in the area of the Metropolitan Improvement District. Our Unarmed Security Officers will work alongside Seattle Police, Metro custodians, and other city outreach personnel. Officers may be required to have the ability to safely operate a vehicle, stand on their feet for long periods of time and work outside in the elements (weather). This position requires individuals that possess self-discipline, excellent de-escalation skills, a good work ethic, and punctuality.
Unarmed Security Officers applying to this position must be able to pass an extensive background check and drug test. Candidates should be well groomed, articulate, dependable, and be team players. The Officer does not act in the capacity of a law enforcement officer and has no arrest or apprehension powers. The work is performed mostly outdoors.
