JOB OVERVIEW:

As an on-site Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, protecting people and their properties and assets. You will be a key player in preventing theft, vandalism, and unauthorized activities. Your primary goal will be to ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals within the designated area and to prevent the loss of or damage to client property.

RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:

Patrolling assigned areas and performing regular security checks
Responding to emergency situations promptly and appropriately
Writing detailed activity and incident reports and maintaining accurate records
Monitoring surveillance cameras and alarm systems to detect any suspicious activities
Enforcing company policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment
Providing excellent customer service to our clients, their employees and guests
Collaborating with local law enforcement agencies when necessary

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or equivalent
Strong observational and problem-solving skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Effective interpersonal skills
Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations
Basic computer and technical skills to operate mobile apps, computers, radios, alarm systems, and video surveillance systems
Physical ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods
Must be willing to work flexible hours and shifts
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license
Proven experience as a security officer, military and/or law enforcement are preferred
Licensing in security, emergency and medical response, and related skills are preferred

ADVANCED QUALIFICATIONS:

Physical ability to protect oneself and others from harm, if necessary
Physical and mental abilities to withstand harsh or unpleasant conditions, hot or cold weather, long hours, stressful conditions, and/or less than ideal environments, if necessary
