Position Summary
The Surveillance Observer is responsible for the protection of the assets of the casino through the use of gaming and security camera systems.
Key Responsibilities
Monitors all areas of the property, including but not limited to gaming and cage activity, food and beverage activity, and security of the facility and the entire property.
· Observe, document, and report procedural violations and illegal activity.
· Report all incidents observed during the shift to the Surveillance Manager, General Manager and Compliance. Write reports of all incidents observed.
· Dispatch security to areas where incidents are observed.
· Operate gaming surveillance cameras and all equipment.
· Ensure that all cameras and computer systems are operational at all times. Observe, document, and report any malfunctions to the Surveillance Manager, General Manager and Compliance.
· Maintain confidentiality of all casino information including camera coverage, investigations, and proprietary material.
· Communicate incidents to pit personnel by phone, in a concise and courteous manner.
· Log all calls, actions, and conclusions.
· Maintain all log sheets, daily log, tape log.
· Maintain knowledge of all table game procedures: monitor the table games to detect violations of rules, dealer errors and possible cheating or scams and report in real time.
· Comply with all requirements communicated to the employee through the company HR policies, departmental handbook and employee handbook and its periodic updates.
· Adhere to all IPC, WSGC and HR policies as they relate to functions of the position.
· Perform other duties as required.
Education and Qualifications
· Must be at least 21 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
· Must be able to work independently, be detail oriented (written and verbal) with Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate with integrity.
· Must possess excellent observational skills and the ability to communicate observations accurately for reporting.
· Must have ability to respond effectively to others.
· Full availability with flexibility for scheduling.
· Professional appearance, strictly comply with the department dress code and mannerisms.
· Must have superior verbal and written English skills, second language an asset.
· Working knowledge of Word and Excel.
· Professional attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and a team player.
· Dependable and reliable with a demonstrated commitment.
· Must possess excellent verbal, written and organizational skills.
2 years' experience preferred but will consider a strong candidate with less experience.

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
